BLACK LIVES MATTER

In celebration of Black History month and the countless lives lost in the plight of the African American struggle, this depiction is of the great Muhammad Ali as Perugino’s Saint Sebastian. It addresses the topic of violence that has occurred for centuries against Black people using one of the most iconic human beings related to culture, power, and fame. This juxtaposition is a rather daring portrayal of a motivational figure in such a vulnerable position illustrated as a saint that was persecuted by a political regime. Both Muhammad Ali and Saint Sebastian spoke the words of freedom for their people and fought battles through the strength of nonviolence. I am a true advocate for nonviolence, so much so that I would never lay hands on another human being even in the face of adversity.

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED

Hackers around the world have fought for the freedom of information and have occupied the streets of the capitalist empire to make a statement for people all around the world. Their virtual eyes are scanning the globe for any wrongs being done to the underserved. One day the open source community will thrive and the traditional ways of living will need to be upgraded. I am a creative citizen that believes that everyone should have access to any information to further their knowledge. We are the 99%.
